Hatha Yoga is a traditional path of yoga that uses the body and the breath as gateways to inner balance and awareness.

Rooted in ancient yogic texts such as the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the word “Hatha” is often understood as the union of opposites, ha (sun) and tha (moon), symbolising the integration of active and receptive energies within us.

Through the practice of postures (asanas), breath regulation (pranayama), and mindful attention, Hatha Yoga seeks to harmonise the body, calm the mind, and prepare the practitioner for deeper states of meditation and self-realisation.

Rather than striving or pushing, it invites a steady, conscious exploration, where strength and softness, effort and ease, come into balance.

🪷 Water Bottle – The Canarian sun blesses us with warmth – remember to hydrate before, during, and after practice.
🪷 Props (if you need them) – Blocks, straps, bolsters… No judgement if your “block” is a stack of books.
🪷 Your best energy – Grumpy, sleepy, or “why-am-I-here” energy is also welcome.
